How to measure your space

Measuring your space for your new wardrobe is a key step in the installation process. It is important to correctly measure your bedroom space to ensure that you purchase the right size wardrobe and don’t end up with an oversized or undersized piece.

To start, you will need to measure and record the width, length and height of the available area for your new wardrobe. Start by holding your measuring tape horizontally at one end of the room and extending it to the other side. Measure across the width of the wall to get your first measurement. Next, measure vertically from floor to ceiling on both sides and record this number. Finally, measure the length of the wall from corner to corner.

Once you have taken these measurements you will need to subtract 1-2cm from each side as a safety measure, ensuring that your wardrobe will fit in the area. You should also consider any existing furniture or fixtures, such as windows and radiators to ensure that you don’t lose valuable space.

Once you have taken all of these measurements, you can use them when selecting your wardrobe from our range. Considering your measurements and budget, you can find the perfect wardrobe to fit your space and personal style.

How to hold the measuring tape:

You should hold the measuring tape at one end of the wall and make sure it is straight and taut throughout. If possible, try to use a friend or family member to help you keep the tape level as you take your measurements. Start at one corner and measure each side until you reach the other end. Record all of your measurements on paper or in a digital device for ease.

Wall-to-wall measuring:

Wall-to-wall measuring involves measuring the entire wall from corner to corner. Start by putting your measuring tape at one end of the wall and extending it outwards until you reach the other side.

Also measure the height, starting from the floor and extending up to the ceiling. Note down all of your measurements and subtract 1-2 cm from each side as a safety measure. This will ensure that your wardrobe fits perfectly within the designated area.

Partial wall measuring:

Partial wall measuring involves measuring a partial section of your walls, such as around existing furniture or fixtures. Start by putting the tape at one end of the area you are measuring and extend it over to the other side.

When taking your measurements, you should also consider any existing furniture or fixtures, such as windows and radiators.
